EART 4 Extra Credit

Due Wednesday, June 1 in class. Up to 15 pts

For up to 15 points of extra credit, you can write up a 1-page (typed, single-spaced, 12 point faunt) critique/

discussion of an Earth Science theme as portrayed in a movie that has NOT been mentioned in class.

Indicate what movie you have selected and what year it released. It MUST have an Earth Science component.

What Earth Science processes/concepts are involved in the movie (be explicit)? How do they help the story line? Is the information realistic? What is realistic or not about the Earth Science ideas. Does knowing this impact your appreciation of the film.

Submit your critique to Thorne no later than end of class time on June 1. Later submissions will not be credited.

Credit will be based on my evaluation of your development of the Earth Science theme and your description of how it is incorporated into the movie that you chose.

Do NOT just give a summary of the movie plot. Draw from the knowledge that you have gained in this class.

Do NOT give me a download from a web page critique.
